This Shipping Policy explains how Heart Gin, owned and operated by Woodside Croft, delivers orders within the United Kingdom.
All alcoholic products are sold and shipped in accordance with UK licensing legislation and age-verification requirements.
By placing an order with us, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and legally permitted to purchase alcohol.

We do not currently offer international shipping.
AGE VERIFICATION & LEGAL COMPLIANCE
Under UK law, alcohol may only be supplied to individuals aged 18 or over.
All Heart Gin orders containing alcohol are dispatched using:
Royal Mail Age Verification Services (18+)
Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Age Verification
Royal Mail Tracked 48 with Age Verification
These services require:
Proof of age (18+) on delivery
Signature from the recipient
Delivery only to the named individual
If valid ID is not provided, delivery will be refused and the parcel returned.
We operate in line with the Challenge 25 policy and may request additional verification where required.
ORDER PROCESSING
Orders are normally processed within:
1–3 business days
Processing times may be extended during:

Promotional campaigns
Adverse weather
Orders placed after 2pm may be processed the following business day.

We are not responsible for delays caused by Royal Mail, weather, strikes, or other circumstances beyond our control.
PACKAGING & SECURITY
All 700ml bottles are securely packaged using:
Protective bottle sleeves
Reinforced cartons
Tamper-evident sealing
Compliant labelling
This ensures compliance with Royal Mail’s prohibited and restricted goods guidelines and minimises risk of damage in transit.
DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS
To successfully receive your order:
The recipient must be 18+
Valid photo ID may be required
Someone must be present at delivery
The name on the order must match the recipient
Accepted ID includes:
Passport
UK Driving Licence
PASS-accredited ID
Parcels will not be left in a safe place or with neighbours.
FAILED OR REFUSED DELIVERIES
If delivery fails due to:
No one being present
No valid ID
Refusal of delivery
the parcel will be returned to us.
Additional delivery charges may apply for re-dispatch.
Refunds for refused deliveries may be reduced to cover return and shipping costs.

DAMAGED OR LOST PARCELS
If your order arrives damaged:

Provide photographs and order details
If your parcel is lost in transit, we will investigate with Royal Mail and arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.
ADDRESS ACCURACY
Please ensure your delivery address is complete and accurate.
We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by incorrect addresses.
Orders returned due to incorrect information may incur additional charges.
RISK & OWNERSHIP
Ownership of goods passes to you upon successful delivery and age verification.
Risk remains with us until delivery is completed.
